The iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus will have same 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch screens respectively and will reportedly follow the same external design as the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus. However, Apple would be looking to include a better metal casing to its new smartphones to take care of the bending issue of current iPhones. The introduction of Force Touch pressure-sensitive technology to the new iPhones’ displays will reportedly be the biggest key factor. Force Touch as a feature can sense the difference between a tap and a press to access controls within apps that was first seen on the Apple Watch and then the new MacBook. Rumors that Apple would bring the technology to the next generation iPhones have been doing the rounds for quite some time now. Ming-Chi Kuo, KGI Securities analyst was quoted in an earlier report on Forbes as saying that the iPhone 6s will have Force Touch and that the phone will be “0.2mm thicker, 0.15mm taller and fractionally wider than the iPhone 6.” In addition, Kuo’s note on the iPhone 6s also stated that the colours of the new iPhone will be closer to the Apple Watch options. Users should expect a rose gold, a darker space grey iPhone 6s. The biggest change in terms of design will be the use of a new “grade of aluminum” that will help make the phone stronger stated Kuo’s note in the end. The new Apple iPhone 6s device is expected to be released in September along with iOS 9, which is the new OS for the phones. Tomorrow night, Apple will also be releasing iOS 8.4 that would bring with it Apple Music, the new music-streaming service to over 100 countries.
