We had reported two days ago that unknown hackers had managed to hack into HBO servers and managed to steal 1.5 TB of data which included scripts of top HBO serials including Game of Thrones Season 7, Ballers and Room 104 TV show scripts. In an email to all media houses, the hackers had promised to leak GoT Season 7 episode scripts in due time. Today, the hackers kept their promise and leaked the upcoming episode 4 of GoT Season 7. The leaked script called “Spoils of War” is the fourth installment of the current hugely popular Game of Thrones season 7. To counter the leak, HBO officials have been burning midnight oil by sending a flurry of DMCA takedown notices. Interestingly, HBO has even sent one DMCA notice to Google which was reported by Hollywood gossip website, Variety. The hackers have stated that they have stolen a treasure chest of scripts from HBO servers. The treasure trove contains full episodes of Ballers (season 3, episodes 1-3), Barry (season 1, episodes 1-2), Room 104(season 1, episodes 2-3), and Insecure (season 2, episode 2). Some of these episodes have already been broadcast, but some are brand new (Barry doesn’t officially air until 2018, for example). Other than the HBO TV show episodes, the hackers have also managed to access “thousands” of internal company documents including personally identifiable data and passwords of HBO Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications Jeff Cusson’s office. Despite filing multiple DMCAs, a short search on Google for “Spoils of War” will bring up at least 25 websites detailing the entire episode. If you are a TV addict and don’t want your upcoming Sunday’s to be spoiled, it is suggested that you shouldn’t read the episode. For those who care less about spoiler alerts, Googling for GoT S07E04 Spoils of War will give you a short script, summary, and homemade video storyboard. As hackers have promised more leaks in upcoming days, we will keep reporting any GoT Season 7 episode leaks as they happen.
